Qualifications
Like most education jobs, becoming a registered early childhood teacher requires some level of tertiary study. There are three different types of relevant qualification you can get at different levels that allow a focus in early childhood education; Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Bachelor of Teaching
It's also very important to continue training and acquiring experience on the job. Many courses have placement programs that you will take part in during your studies, and you'll be expected to continue developing skills and learning new techniques from additional teaching courses throughout your career.
You may also be required to attain a Certificate in Nanny Education before you take part in a diploma or degree course, but this will be outlined in the entry requirements for any institution that you look to apply to.
